About the saying, “No hands, but my hands. No voice, but my voice…”:
This is something commonly said in the black church. I’m not sure if they say it in non-black churches. It’s in part a prayer coupled with taking personal responsibility to speak and stand up for what you believe is right and just. If there are no hands, but my hands or no voice, but my voice, let the Mother Father Everything God find me willing to use mine.
